Actor Hiten Tejwani, who is currently seen on Colors’ show Meri Ashiqui Tum Se Hi (Balaji Telefilms) as Ishani’s (Radhika Madan) father, spoke to us about his wife Gauri, his relationship with his co-stars, his roles in general and his favourite role in particular. Read on…
We asked the actor about his thoughts about being cast in roles where he has to play a much older role, Hiten commented, “Yes, in the show Meri Ashiqui Tum Se Hi, I am essaying the character of Nitin, Ishani’s (Radhika Madan) father, but this is not the first time I am essaying such roles. Earlier as well I have portrayed such a role and I don’t mind at all. For me the development of characters are important.”
“In Pavitra Rishta I have even essayed the role of a grandfather, so, I am not much worried about it.”
On the show, Hiten is seen working with his wife Gauri after a long time and their chemistry has always been loved by the audiences. So, we quizzed him about his experience and the actor said, “It’s always very exciting and fun to work with your wife.”
“The advantage of working with one’s partner is things become much easier and you need not put much effort to being out chemistry. The comfort level is also higher,” added the actor.
We also asked him about his equations with his co-stars. “So far on the sets, I have mostly spent time with Gauri, Radhika and Shakti. I think now I will be more on the sets hence, will get the time to mingle with others properly.”
Over the years the actor has portrayed many characters so we asked him about his favourite role, Hiten said, “Pratham (Kutumb) and Karan (Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi) will always be my personal favourites.”
