Hello everyone, this is Kanwar Dhillon whom you may be familiar with as Munna in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha… Season 2 on Colors.
Today, I am here to brief you something about myself.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, I am currently in the last year of my graduation of Bachelor in Mass Media (BMM) from Thakur College, Kandivali. I feel that to grow up in a house of an artist is a privilege for any child.
Talking about my background I would love to add that my father Deep Dhillon is a well known actor in film as well as television. It is he who has got me in this world of entertainment. I love the fact that I am his son and I have got his blood in me.
I have been constantly inspired by seeing him and dreamt of becoming only an actor from a very young age. When I first approached my father with a want to become an actor, he was not very surprised but was sure that I had some charm in me. When I gave my first shot on television, he received calls from his friend saying that my performance was really good on screen.
From my childhood days, I used to accompany my father on the sets and used to admire myself playing a part in this field. I don’t look upon myself becoming like him or ever dare to think of competing him, because I consider him to be a legend and cannot cope up to be like him. In fact, it will be great if I could manage to do at least 75 per cent of what he has done.
I think that I have managed to considerably grow up from my first television show to the second one.
Playing an antagonist makes one carry the same importance which a protagonist has on television. For me, a role which has quality rather than just quantity is my pick. I don’t like going on the timeframe of my work, but I value my work a lot.
In my personal life, I am more of a happy go lucky kind of a guy who believes in enjoying every moment with fun and loads of laughter. I don’t take work as stress but cherish it as I climb towards success. For me, the most memorable moment is when people tell me that I look very much like my father.
Uff, I am a bit tired and have to rush for an appointment. So, guys, this is me Kanwar Dhillon taking your leave for now. Time permitting wish to meet you’ll soon.
