Controversy child Manish Goel aka Tilak from Bhabhi is finally back on television! He's bagged the role of an alcoholic Rehaan in Star's Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni. As the track unfolds he will be inextricably linked to the gorgeous lead Sudha played by Ashima Bhalla.
Where have you been all this time?
I've been busy looking for some good roles. I did not want to get typecast into a typical role and also didn't want to play an older character. So, I decided to stay on a break and my patience has paid.

Where have you been all this time?
I've been busy looking for some good roles. I did not want to get typecast into a typical role and also didn't want to play an older character. So, I decided to stay on a break and my patience has paid.
What were doing during the break?
My focus was my family. I was doing up my new home and spending time with my son Aryaman. Finally my son has started going to school so both Poonam and me are ready to work now. Also, with a new hairdo and a toned up body I am raring to go.
Tell us about Meri Awaaz…?
I was offered this show on my birthday and I took it up blindly as a gift by god. I believe in Lord Siddhivinayak and I think I have been blessed for my endurance.
Describe your character..
Rehaan is a 28 year old rich but rude, arrogant single man who's slightly sombre but is practically under the influence of alcohol the whole day. He's the caretaker of three of his sister's children. He has spoiled all the children by giving them every material pleasure they wish for. As the story unfolds, it comes across that somewhere at the back of his mind, he holds himself responsible for the orphaned status of the children (the children are oblivious of this troubled past and completely dote on their mamu). I love the complexity of the character.
Have you done any kind of home work for this character?
I've been shooting for the last two days but have been practising for a week now. Since, Rehaan is a very complex character, I have been studying him deeply. His mannerisms, moods and arrogance while dealing with the outside world. But when he's with the kids, he becomes very soft and humble. I also have to limp in the story but I am enjoying it.
What else would you like to do?
Besides acting I would love to host shows. I have already hosted, Nach 2 and Popcorn on Zoom. Also I have 2 to 3 script ready, now I just have to pitch it to a few channels.. Let's see what happens next but I am positive about my work and happy too.
