Sony TV's mythological drama Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan (Contiloe) is keeping viewers hooked to the tale.

The show certainly has an amazing cast, and the performances of the actors have indeed taken the plot to a new high. One such actor who has exhibited great acting prowess is Arun Mandola, playing the role of Lakshman.

It’s Arun's debut show and he had to go through a big tunnel of auditions to reach the sweet spot. In a candid conversation with us, Arun shared more about his experience and aspirations.

"It’s my first show and before this, I was into print shoots, commercials and modelling. I have completed four years in Mumbai and I got my first role as Lakshman after giving 4.5k auditions approximately. The current track of the show is focused on Lakshman. The VFX is outstanding and it’s a fantastic experience being part of it. I am totally enjoying it. I always wanted to be an action hero and I am getting to do a lot of action and I love the mythological dialect. I have grown up watching shows like Mahabharat, Ramayan and many others. I know to speak Sanskrit very well as I am a graduate in Sanskrit. I have also done my masters in Astrology."

"One has to be very careful with the language and expression being a part of a mythological drama. Even a slight change in your expression can change the feel of your dialogue delivery," added Arun as he talked about the challenge of being part of such a project.

Being new to this field, Arun feels happy to be working with a supportive bunch of co-stars who are always there to guide him. He told us, "My co-stars are very hard working and supportive. They have done few shows before this, while I am new. My co-stars Gagan Malik (Ram), Nirbhay Wadhwa (Hanuman), Vikram Sharma (Sugreev) and Saurav Gurjar (Ravan) are always there to guide me like their younger brother. So the bonding is very good and I am learning a lot of things from them."

When we asked him about his aspirations, he added, "I would love to do mythological and warrior based shows in future."

Keep up the good work Arun.
