Home is always sweet!

And one realizes its importance more when one stays away from home for further studies or for work.

Wondering why do we say so?

Well, actress Debattama Saha, who is currently playing the female lead in Colors Bangla's E Amar Gurudakshina (Subroto Roy Production), is more than happy to be able to spend pujo with her family.

She shared her excitement with Tellychakkar.com, “I am very happy to be in Silchar, Assam now. I had waited for long for these seven days leaves.”

Kolkata is famous for its Durga Puja. Didn’t you feel like staying there and enjoy the occasion? “I know the puja of Kolkata is awesome but I just wanted to be at home. I was missing my home badly,” echoed the cute actress in her sleepy voice.

After becoming an actress this was the first time that Debattama spent her puja in her hometown. So, when we asked about the reactions of her relatives and neighbours, she quipped, “I thought of catching some sleep but I can’t as my home is now most of the times flooded with my relatives and neighbours.”

“Also, whenever I am going to the pandal, I am getting surrounded by people. Some are talking with me with great interest while some are looking at me with curious faces,” she added.

The Bengali actress also said that people are quite curious to know about her co-actors.

She said laughing out loud, “My relatives are curious about my co-actors. They are shooting me questions after questions. They are asking if my co-actors are like their characters in real life too.”

“My relatives told me that they watch every episode of my serial. My parents are feeling proud and I am feeling very happy as I didn’t expect such kind of feedback,” added the actress with a smile.

As we know, tomorrow (11 October) is dashami so we asked her how she feels now that time has come to bid adieu to Goddess Durga?

She said, “Around seven to eight months are spent planning the occasion. But now that the time for Durga Visarjan has come, it feels so bad.”

Worry not, pretty girl as asche bochor abar hobe!
