MUMBAI: Young talent Aveera Sharma, who plays the thoughtful and brave Nysa in Rahul Kumar Tewary Production and Rolling Tales Production Ram Bhavan, is winning hearts both on and off the screen. In an exclusive chat, the child actor opened up about her character, the emotional depth of the show, and what she’s learned along the way.
“Nysa is a smart little girl who loves her family very much,” Aveera shared. “Her mummy, Gayatri, can be a little scary, but Nysa tries to be kind and brave. She doesn’t always understand why adults fight, but she just wants everyone to be happy.”
Ram Bhavan, set in a grand and mysterious old house, tells a gripping tale of power, pride, and complicated family bonds. Aveera believes the emotional layers will keep viewers hooked. “There’s love, fighting, and family stuff. Everyone thinks they’re doing the right thing. I hope people love watching me as Nysa!”
To prepare for her role, Aveera took a personal approach. “I watched shows with strong mommies and daughters. My mamma helped me practice. I try to think about how I would feel if I were Nysa,” she said.
The show’s setting plays a key part in the storytelling. “The house looks amazing on screen! It has secrets and the people inside are always planning something. It’s fun to act in.”
While the drama between characters like Om, Isha, and Gayatri adds tension, Aveera sees it through Nysa’s eyes. “She feels sad when people fight. She wants her mummy but also wants peace in the family. It makes her story emotional.”
On working with Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production, Aveera beams, “Everyone is so nice and takes care of me. I’m really happy to be part of this show.”
Though learning serious lines can be tough, Aveera has grown through the role. “I learned to be patient and to show feelings with my eyes. And I made lots of friends on set!”
