MUMBAI: In a dramatic episode of Shemaroo Umang's Main Dil Tum Dhadkan, viewers were captivated by the intense custody battle between Vrinda, played by Radhika Muthukumar, and Keshav, portrayed by Zohaib Siddhiqui. The court ruled that custody of their son, Kanha, would be granted to a couple, emphasizing the importance of having both a mother and father in a child’s life. In a bold move, Vrinda proposed marriage to Keshav for the sake of their son, but this suggestion did not sit well with Rajeshwari Devi, played by Neelu Vagela. Determined to thwart Vrinda, Rajeshwari sought the help of Advocate Rana, who resorted to hiring goons to intimidate her.
Reflecting on her character, Radhika shared, "As an actor, my goal is to take on roles that challenge me and push me to grow with every new character I portray. I was particularly excited to play Vrinda because she embodies a strong, independent woman. As the story has unfolded, I've truly enjoyed the depth and complexity of her character. In a recent episode, I had the opportunity to perform my own stunts while fighting off goons for the first time on screen, which was both exhilarating and empowering. Traditionally, we often see the hero swoop in to save the day, but Vrinda, as a representation of a strong independent woman in 2024, knows how to fight her own battles. She takes charge of her own destiny and saves herself, and that is a powerful message that I am proud to convey."
