Raj Kumar, popularly known as the Gyaan Guru and a professional ballet dancer happened to be the only guy who got selected through the Pune auditions of MTV Roadies 11.
Completely different from all the contestants short-listed this season, the man was once on road to committing suicide, but stopped himself and analysed his situation which helped him to become mentally strong.
Says Raj, “I help people to fight against their problems in life. My main aim to go through the Roadies journey was to spread my positive and negative experience and its benefits with my fellow contestants.”
On his Roadies journey, he states, “This season was little different as the power to vote-out contestants was not there. However, the politics seen this season was much higher than the other 10 seasons. I won my first immunity task of Roadies 11 and proved myself as a tough competitor. I was the only contestant from Mumbai while the rest of the contestants were from Delhi and Chandigarh, except for Nikhat Khan. In short, there were so many negative contestants on the show.”
Raj Kumar holds the distinction of picking up the maximum number of fights with contestants. “I cannot stand people with creepy behaviour; hence I fought for every wrong thing that happened on the show. There were few people who created issues for no reason at all. For example, Ajay Sehrawat who wants to become a politician played nasty games on the show. India is already facing so many problems, and we do not need a politician like Shakuni Mama who will spoil the country more.”
Talking of few other contestants, Raj vents out, “Self-proclaimed teacher Charu Bakshi does not even know how to talk. Her spelling mistakes in her interview proved that she actually needs to go to school first and learn. Nikhil Sachdeva, the oldest Roadie of this season who lost his weight along with his brain had a dominating nature on the show. He had the impression of being the ‘Bade Bujurg’. Rishie, the over-weight buffalo was in the show only for site viewing. These are few examples of the super-negative people in Roadies this time around.”
Speaking of his attitude towards the show, Raj confesses, “I participated with a right attitude, but contestants forced me to use violence and fight. I was here to explore positivity but these negative contestants forced me to go crazy. After I got eliminated, I was in trauma for two weeks. I became mentally weak and used to get irritated at the drop of the hat.”
Amidst so much of negativity, the only contestant whom Raj found to be clean and pure was Nikhat Khan. “I will never ever talk to these Roadies contestants in my life, except for Nikhat who is the only genuine person found on Roadies.”
Overall, he expresses his gratitude for the show saying, “Raghu’s nature is like a coconut as he is hard from outside, but he is a very good person from inside. He is only rude on the show to take out the actual person in you, but he is a man with a golden heart. I would thank MTV Roadies for giving me this opportunity and such a platform which helped me to know more about me and my capabilities. I am sure it will help me in my dancing career. Also, I am from the theatre background; so this journey would enhance my opportunities as an actor too. Overall MTV Roadies is made with great team work; I have to give a big salute to the crew who hardly sleep to make this show super perfect.”
Raj got eliminated in the fourth week of the show and has now got a second chance to get back into the contest through Wild Card. Last week, the girls’ Wild Card round saw the comeback of Meher Gill, the girl who got eliminated along with Raj.
Will Raj, the Gyaan Guru get to be part of Roadies again?
Get to see the wild card episode today, Saturday on MTV Roadies.
