MUMBAI: Vishal Karwal has been in the entertainment industry for over 10 years now. His Instagram bio reads ‘Engineer, Pilot, Actor’ and he jokingly says that adding accidental to each would make it perfect as he had never planned his next step in life. He says engineering happened because he didn’t want to be a part of his family business; he tried flying because his friend was doing so and came into acting for the love of bikes.
He has tried and tested a lot of careers and has stuck through acting the longest. When asked if he’d like to go back to his older profession he says, “I will not like to fly a commercial plane as it doesn’t interest me now but I think in the next 3-5 years I would like to get back to leisure flying. It gets my adrenaline rushing and I want to experience it.”

Well that’s a lot of career options to pick from for one person, “I get bored very easily. I like switching between things. Even in my shows, I have played one character for one year maximum. I don’t like doing the same things for a long period of time. And I believe if I have to invest in something for 12 hours a day it should really excite me.”
This is one of the main reasons as to the variety of roles he has played till date; from protagonist to antagonist, from god to ghost and even tried a hand on comic roles. He believes, “Till people are happy to cast me, I will try everything that comes my way. That’s how I challenge myself as an actor.”
Currently Vishal is seen as Lord Krishna in Dwarkadheesh – Bhagwaan Shree Krishn. The mythological show is a story of how after becoming the king of Dwarka, Lord Krishna becomes a protector and maintains relationships with his family members and loved ones. It is currently airing at 9am on Dangal TV.
