IPL spot fixing drama intensifies; Vindu Dara Singh arrested

The saying that cricket and the glamour world go hand-in-hand was proved right when film and television actor Vindu Dara Singh was arrested in Mumbai for his links with cricket bookies in the recent match fixing controversy raging the entire country. It is understood that that the city’s crime branch has strong evidence linking Vindu to bookie Ramesh Vyas, who is linked to key bookies Jupiter and others, named by the Delhi police. Vyas reportedly has links with Sunil Dubai, an alleged mediator between bookies in India and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Anees Ibrahim. Vindu was under constant Mumbai Police surveillance since the arrest of the three bookies. He will be produced in a Mumbai lower court tomorrow (Wednesday). Vindu, son of the late Dara Singh, won the third season of TV reality show Bigg Boss.
