Vikram Singh Chauhan to play the main lead in Ishqbaaaz
Star Plus’ popular show Ishqbaaaz will take a generation leap in the New Year. As we know that Surbhi Chandana is not keen on playing a mother’s role hence it is not confirmed yet whether or not she will continue with the show. AIB’s political satire titled Gormint, earlier known as Ministry was to premiere in 2018 on Amazon Prime Video. The series had Irrfan Khan playing the role of a Bollywood celebrity who goes on to occupy the role of the Culture Minister, and struggles to remain a favourite with the audience later on. Owing to Irfan’s heath issues there are some media reports suggesting that Arshad Warsi has been roped in to essay the role that was played by Irrfan.

Sushant Singh is happy as Savdhaan India reaches the 100 mark

Rashami Desai relives her childhood
Actress Rashami Desai had fun spending some time with over 120 underprivileged children, and says she got a chance to relive her childhood.
As part of Children's Day celebration, Comedy Central hosted a special celebration at Smaaash Junior here on Tuesday filled with attractions, fun activities and the children's favourite food. Rashami joined the celebrations.
"I am glad to be here with my niece to celebrate Children's Day. I am reliving my childhood with her," Rashami said in a statement.
"I would like to thank Comedy Central to make our day so special. This was my best Children's Day," she added.
The actress is known for shows like Uttaran and Dil Se Dil Tak.
Adil for artistic freedom of digital platforms
Noted Assamese actor Adil Hussain is batting for artistic freedom of digital platforms after Netflix, Amazon Prime and others were sued for explicit content.
"All producer's, director's, actor's associations from across India, must come together, hire the best of the lawyers and defend artistic freedom of digital platforms like Netflix and others," Adil tweeted.
He also demanded the dissolution of the current Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in its present form.
His tweet came after the Delhi High Court sought the Centre's response on a plea for removal of vulgar and sexually explicit content from online platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and others.
A bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V. Kameswar Rao listed the matter for further hearing on 8 February.
The petition was filed by an NGO, Justice for Rights. Advocate Harpreet S. Hora appearing for the NGO sought a law or guidelines for regulating content available on these platforms.
The petitioner said online platforms offered vulgar, sexually explicit, pornographic, profane, virulent, religiously forbidden and morally unethical contents in order to attract more subscribers and generate profit. ( SOURCE : IANS)

Mumbai lad Kunal Pandit gave tribute to ‘king of Pop’ Michael Jackson through his outstanding performance which surprised everyone including judges Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and guest judge Usha Uthup.
Usha Uthup went emotional after Kunal’s performance when he performed on three songs including ‘Mein Aisa Kyun Hun, Tu Tu Meri Mein Tera Hone Laga and Muqabala.
Emotional Usha Uthup said, “Kunal performed like a rockstar. It was 44000-watt performance which was full of confidence and hard work. My eyes got filled with tears after watching such a fabulous performance. We have seen Michael Jackson’s performance from some distance but watching Kunal closely was amazing.”
Neha Kakkar said, “We have seen so many dancers giving tribute to Michael Jackson but This is for the first time that any singer has given tribute to MJ through such an outstanding way. Your hard work was purely visible in your performance.” (SOURCE: IANS)
