It is important for working mothers to be around their babies, says Ekta Kapoor

MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor is one of the busiest working women. However, her work doesn’t stop her from being close to her four-month-old son Ravie.

The producer-director welcomed her baby boy via surrogacy in January this year. After spending some time at home, she is back to work. So, how she balances her professional and personal life? In an interview with Bombay Times, Ekta said, "Currently, life is all about spending as much time as possible with my son. These days, I try and leave the office earlier than usual.”

What do you think about this Showtee ?

“I bring Ravie to the office frequently and he spends time with my team. I have a huge support system in my mother and my team, so whenever I get busy with meetings, they keep him entertained,” she added. She also shared that her son even recognises a few people at work and is quite comfortable around them.

Ekta has set up a creche for her son in office and she regrets for not doing the same before. She said to the publication, “Even when my son grows older, the creche will continue, because it is important for working mothers to be around their babies. In fact, I should have built it in my office a long time ago. I regret not having done that earlier.”
