MUMBAI: SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most favoured shows of youngsters and elders alike, across India.

The entertaining show also imparts messages through its storyline.  Two minor boys, who happened to be great fans of Jethalal Gada played by Dilip Joshi, managed to raise funds and ran away to Mumbai to meet their favourite actor. Luckily they were taken to a police station by some good citizens. The two boys are sent back to their native town with their guardians but this has scared the makers of the show and the actor.

Hence, a call was taken jointly by the production and the law enforcement agency as to not let them meet the actor. Basic fear was that if such an act is rewarded with the fulfilment of their wish, it will definitely inspire many others to take the same risk.

What do you think of Dilip joshi?

And finally Dilip Joshi opened up on the entire fiasco. He shared, “It is scary to hear that the kids ran away from their homes all alone and travelled all the way to Mumbai. I am honoured to receive adulation and love from our fans but running away from home to meet your favourite actor is neither appropriate nor safe. They were lucky that some good samaritan took them to the police. They could have easily fallen prey to criminals looking for young unsupervised children. I would request them and all my young fans to stay under their parent’s care and not indulge into wrong activities. I would like to send my best wishes and love to both of them.”

The producer of the show, Asit Kumarr Modi added, “It is over-whelming to receive so much of love from our young fans. However, I would request all our fans not to take such a step as we believe in principles and discipline of life, which is also constantly reflected and promoted through our show. I pray that they have reached home safely.”
