MUMBAI: The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 featured a young girl named Komal Tukadiya, who became the only contestant to answer the ‘Fastest Finger First Answer’ accurately. On sitting upon the ‘hot seat’, she soon broke down into tears.
Host Amitabh Bachchan showed an AV of Komal, wherein she reveals of being pressurized by the elders of the family to get married at the age of 13 years. However, she shared that she wants to pursue her ambitions through her studies.
Komal talked about women empowerment and revealed of wanting to be a news anchor one day. She further adds that she will try to empower women and stop their early marriages through her profession.
Her words moved everyone present in the studio including host Amitabh Bachchan, who praised her a lot.
After commencing the game with her, during one of the questions on Bollywood, Komal requested Amitabh Bachchan to convince her father for allowing her to watch movies, to which Big B urged Komal's father to allow her for the same (specifically) in the theatres, in order to gain mutual benefit.
As the game progressed, Amitabh Bachchan revealed a few unknown facts about his life.
During one of the questions, “Which novel by Dharamvir Bharati talks about a young student, Chander, who falls in love with Sudha, the daughter of his college professor?”. Komal took the life-line of 'Flip the question', to which Big B shared the right answer of the question as 'Gunahon Ka Devta’.
On that note, Mr. Bachchan also revealed about a sweet yet lesser-known fact about his life. He shared that his wife Jaya Bachchan and him were working together for a film based on the same novel. They even shot for 'Chander Aur Sudha' for a few days while spending some time in Allahabad for the film. Unfortunately, that film had got shelved.
Mr. Bachchan shared another interesting story about his personal life wherein he discloses about almost getting named as 'Inquilab'. He revealed that during the year 1942, his mother who then was eight months pregnant with him, took part in an Indian Independence’s procession. On learning about the same, the men of the family became furious and got her back home. At that moment, a fellow procession-participant suggested that she should name her son 'Inquilab'. Later, the legendary poet Sumitranandan Pant named him ‘Amitabh’.
Komal answered all the questions quite efficiently and quit the game after winning Rs. 12,50,000.
She was followed by Kumar Krishna Mohan on the ‘hot-seat’, who was from Siwan, Bihar. He gave the wrong answer right at the beginning and lost the game.
