Jay Mehta's production house is planning its next untitled show for Zee TV. The production house has just finished auditioning for the lead characters and is waiting for the channel to give them a go-ahead.
A source says, "The story has a rural backdrop and it will be primarily issue-based. The girl's character is very sweet, simple and is innocent and who is unaware about the realities of outside world. We are planning to give this character a very authentic look; she will wear a ghagra choli and tie her hair in two plaits. While the boy is very strong, very tough and likes to fight for his rights."
"Amit Dolawat and Rakhi Verma have auditioned for the leads along with few fresh faces. We are going to show these tapes to the channel soon and if they will approve it, then within a fortnight we could begin shooting. We might shoot a few outdoor episodes and then we will continue the rest of the shoot here. There are chances that Amit may get selected for this role as he fits the bill perfectly."
Both Dolawat and Rakhi remained unavailable for comment. Producer Kinnari Mehta refused to comment.
Sukesh Motwani Fiction Head of Zee did not respond to our calls.
Meanwhile, the producers are also in a process to re-start Bali Umar Ko Salam on Imagine, which was scrapped long back, with a new star cast and have recently launched Shorr on Sahara One.
