Kumkum's Latvian connection!

It's not often that a television show has foreign delegates on its sets! The cast and crew of BAG Films' <em>Kumkum</em> discovered its firang connection when a six member delegation from Latvia visited the sets of the Star Plus' <em>Kumkum</em> and interacted with the cast and crew of the show in Andheri East in suburban Mumbai on 2 June.

It's not often that a television show has foreign delegates on its sets! The cast and crew of BAG Films' Kumkum discovered its firang connection when a six member delegation from Latvia visited the sets of the Star Plus' Kumkum and interacted with the cast and crew of the show in Andheri East in suburban Mumbai on 2 June. A mutual co operation pact was signed between Ambika Soni, Minster for Tourism and Culture and Latvian Minister for Culture, Ms. Halena Demakova in New Delhi on Monday evening The purpose being to encourage mutual cooperation in the fields of culture, art and mass media between India an Latvia. The delegation is in India to interact with eminent personalities in the field of International relations, culture, politics, arts and media. Ms.Halena Demakova states "With the advent of globalisation, the world surely has become a global village. Culture of each and every country paves way for us to garner newer experience and understanding about that country. So with this pact we wish to learn about the vast culture of India and by visiting media institute of B.A.G. production things only got better. For B.A.G. Production is known to be one of the biggest production houses." As a sample the delegates were asked to witness the ongoing on a set. After having watched the shooting of Kumkum, Mr.Andrejs Ekes general manager, Latvian Indpendent Television, commented on the exemplary sets and beautifully designed attires.While the delegates were all praises about the whole concept , vice president, B.A.G. Films, Rajesh Chadda, stated that such interaction will surely enhance cordial relation between two countries.
