MUMBAI: Anushka Merchande had been working as a child artist and has many ads and brand shoots to her credit.

Currently she is playing Aarti on the show Lakshmi Ghar Aayi which will be aired on Star Bharat at 8 pm starting from 5 July. She has recently signed a film too. Talking about her journey in the entertainment industry, Anushka shared, “I'm playing a younger sister to Simran (Parneeja) didi. I'm very excited to be a part of such a big show. Ashish Kaul sir is playing my father in the show. He has been my mentor and guide. He is very humble but very strict in teaching. I have learnt to be more disciplined now. He doesn't allow me to eat sweets and keeps practicing with me till the time I perfect my scene. His guidance has helped me a lot and I’m lucky to work with him."

On the other hand Ashish, who has been mentoring younger aspirants in their acting journey shared, “Anushka is a very hard working girl. Her transition from a child to teenager is a very tricky stage. I wanted her to stop playing child roles as she is in her late teens. I'm happy her mother is guiding her right .She has a potential to play the lead in films very soon."
