Learn from failure and take the big leap of faith, says Zee Chairman Dr Subhash Chandra

Zee Chairman Dr Subhash Chandra
A packed audience comprising of management students and budding young entrepreneurs greeted Zee Chairman, the redoubtable Dr Subhash Chandra on Saturday evening. The media mogul was at an esteemed educational institution to share his invaluable tips on Entrepreneurship. And who better than Subhash Chandra to deliver the lecture, the man who single handedly started a media revolution with Zee in the 90s. Speaking from his own experience, Dr Chandra said, "It's important to identify your area of interest and expertise first. Anyone from a journalist to a teacher can be an entrepreneur. Once you have identified your core area of interest, you need to nurture and grow it." Dr. Chandra also warned against expecting success early in business. "Success comes slowly and steadily. Expecting big profits immediately can be detrimental. Also, it's important not to feel discouraged by failure. Learn from your failures. They teach you more than your success would." Also commenting on the special qualities that make an entrepreneur, Dr Chandra said, “Experience can be acquired, knowledge can be transferred but talent cannot be acquired nor transferred. Either you have it or you don’t have it.” He also adviced young entrepreneurs in the audience to pursue their dreams by breaking all the rules and making new ones. Dr. Chandra later took a plethora of questions from the audience and answered them with his usual gusto. This special episode on Entrepreneurship will be a part of the Dr Subhash Chandra (DSC) Show. DSC is aired every Saturday at 10 pm on Zee News and 7pm on Zee Business and on Sundays at 11 am on both Zee News & Zee Business. This show is also aired on other channels of Zee Media.
