Learnt how to practice unconditional kindness and empathy through the life journey of Ahilyabai Holkar : Krish Chauhan

MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s much loved period drama ‘Punyashlok Ahilyabai’ has child actors Aditi Jaltare and Krish Chauhan in lead roles, who essay the role of Ahilyabai Holkar and Khande Rao Holkar in the show. The current track of the show deals with Ahilya’s journey to securing her right to education which was something unheard of in the 18th century. It wasn’t an easy achievement, but it is something that went on to make Ahilyabai Holkar who she was – a visionary and regarded as one of the finest female rulers in Indian history.

Krish Chauhan believes that being a part of such a huge scale show that narrates the life journey of legendary Ahilyabai Holkar has changed him completely as a person and has had an impact on him, greater than he could have ever imagined.

Sharing more on the same, Krish Chauhan said, “My parents have taught me that how we behave with others speaks a lot about our character, our upbringing and the kind of person we are. However, being a part of the show has further reiterated my belief in the fact that we should practice unconditional kindness with everyone. Be good to people for no reason. Devi Ahilyabai was always humble and empathetic even when she was faced with unfavorable circumstances.  Initially, her own husband Khanderao doubted her, challenged her and also felt insecure of her wit and wisdom. However, Ahilyabai’s generosity grew on him too. Eventually, they became friends and shared a beautiful relationship. This has to be my biggest learning from the show.”

Watch Punyashlok Ahilyabai, Monday to Friday, at 7:30 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
