Acting in a defence show provides an opportunity to indulge in different adventures. However, Left Right Left actors Saurav Chakravarthy and Mohit Daga took this adventure to an extreme level. The duo who play Peter Sabnis and Markhand Malla respectively, experienced an interesting escapade. The shoot of Left Right Left is currently taking place in Madh Island. To save time actors take a ferry from to Versova to Madh Island. One night, Saurav and Mohit left late and missed the last ferry which departs at 12.30 am. After waiting for an hour, the duo spotted a fisherman’s vacant boat and jumped into it. Barely in a few minutes they lost control of the boat and were swept in an unknown direction. Luckily their boat collided against another boat. Help came in the form of fishermen who brought them safely ashore. Recalling his experience, Saurav Chakravarthy says, “It was my idea to rob the boat. Mohit only agreed after much persuasion. We got a boat but there were no oars in it. We pulled off a couple of huge dead branches from a tree and used them as oars. However, we failed to fathom the high tides. After few minutes, we lost control and found ourselves in the middle of the sea. We collided against another boat and the sleeping fishermen in it saved us.” Mohit said, “I was really petrified. Worse, I don’t know how to swim. When we were being swept away, I kept chanting ‘Matarani bacha le (Goddess Durga save me). My father reprimanded me and has warned me not to indule in such madness again.” And the story did not end with this. Kahaani abhi baki hai dost. Mohit says, “We struck a deal with the fishermen for Rs 100. However, we were only carrying Rs.500 notes. I was lucky to have Rs 30 in change while Saurav managed to find Rs.20 in his wallet. The fishermen wanted Rs 500 but in the end they settled for Rs 50 and my bag which contained a protein shake.” Imagine bargaining for your life. Even Uncle Scrooge will be put to shame.
