MUMBAI: Colors TV is home to some amazing TV fictional and reality shows. Talking about one of it’s shows, Mangal Lakshmi, it feels as it only yesterday that the show had begun but how quick does the time pass. Well the show has completed 400 episodes now and the cast celebrated the milestone.
The show has been making waves, drawing attention from homemakers, influencers, and media critics alike. This isn't just another run-of-the-mill television series; it is something that resonates perfectly with the realities of today's society making it more relevant for the audiences. Led by stellar performances from Deepika Singh as Mangal, Sanika Amit as Lakshmi, Urvashi Upadhyay as Mangal’s mother-in-law, and Naman Shaw as Adit. The family drama is full of heart-tugging emotions.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Urvashi Upadhya’s role was appreciated for her unique portrayal as a unique saas who actually supports her bahu, which is something very different from what we usually get to see in other shows.
When talked about it, Urvashi Upadhya said, “Dekhiye yeh bohot hi kamaal ka show hai aur aaj tak humne saas-bahu ko ladte-jhagadte dekha hai, kitchen mein pollitics karte dekha hai, neecha girate hue dekha hai, kahin na kahin bahu ke saare aasuon ka kaaran saas hoti thi...lekin yaha pe uski puri defition badal di hai ki saas bahu ki dushman nahi hoti. Usko support karti hai, samajhti hai, saath deti hai, dhaal ban kar khadi rehti hai, sahi ko sahi aur galat ko galat kehne wala kirdaar Kusum, jo bete ko bhi galat kehta hai aur bahu ko bhi humesha sahi hoti hai toh sahi thehrata hai, uska saath khade rehta hai toh yeh bohot hi kamaal ka message tha aur aap sab tak toh pohochna hi tha. Aapka dher saara pyaar, mujhe itne saare DMs abtak aate hai, abhi bhi aa rahe hai ki saas ho toh Kusum jaisi aur acha kirdaar kar rahe ho...toh thank you so much humare show ko itna pasand karne ke liye, Kusum ke kirdaar ko pasand karne ke liye, Mangal Lakshmi ko pasand karne ke liye.”
