MUMBAI: Ronit Roy needs no introduction. The talented actor has a great line-up of work in Bollywood, television as well as on OTT platforms. In a recent podcast, Ronit Roy spoke at length about the long working hours on television, his character Mr. Bajaj for Kasauti Zindagi Kay and more.

In a chat with Hindi Rush, Ronit Roy stated that he doesn't support the long working hours of television because it leaves the actor exhausted and the actor don't get the time to work on his/her fitness or craft as an actor. He added that he has worked tirelessly and it would sound hypocritical coming from him, but he believes that television's working hours should be regulated and should be planned well.

Ronit Roy revealed that he worked for long working hours on TV because he got a ray of hope from the medium. Due to his Bollywood movies not working well, he found television as his second chance and gave his all to it. He also revealed that he was signed for Kasauti Zindagi Kay's Mr. Bajaj as a character role for around three months. However, within the second week of the telecast, the team told him that his contract will be extended. He mentioned that people started to recognize him as Mr.Bajaj. He got mails and even the crew told him about the impact of the role and thus his role was extended and he got around two hundred rupees increment.

Ronit also reflected upon the policy of paying the actors 90 days late. He added that he has never worked like that and wouldn't do in the future. He said, "Agar aapke paas paise nahi hai toh aap mat banao. Mai bhi ghar pe baithuga. Ek artist teen mahina laga raha hai apni zindagi ke or uske paas ek dhela nahi hai, woh kaise doodh pilayega apne bache ko? (I feel, if you don't have money, don't make projects. After putting three months of hard work, it's very unfair to not pay the artist. How will he feed his family?)."
