Balaji Telefilms’ first big stint with reality shows will kick-start with this edition of the popular dance reality show, Nach Baliye. While all are aware of the production house and channel, Star Plus being on path to finalize the line-up of contestants, we have chanced upon two eminent names that have been tossed up to take the judges’ chair.
We hear that talks are presently on with the popular dancer and choreographer, Marzi Pestonji. As we know, Marzi won many a hearts as the judge of Dance India Dance, the reality dance show on Zee TV.
Also, another name that is being talked about is of the well-known English writer known for his best-selling novels, Chetan Bhagat. He recently won the CNN-IBN Award in the field of Entertainment for the year 2014. And if he marks his debut on TV with Nach Baliye, it will indeed be yet another feather in the man’s cap.
For the uninitiated, Ekta Kapoor is supposed to be making a film out of his popular novel Half Girlfriend.
An insider told us, “Marzi and Bhagat are presently in the final levels of talk, and are more or less finalized to occupy two of the three berths in the judges’ panel.”
We tried calling both Marzi and Bhagat, but both remained unavailable for any comment.
We tried buzzing the channel spokesperson for information, but they did not revert.
We also dropped a text message to Ekta Kapoor, but did not hear back.
