Meet Sunita Rajwar, the new Assistant Director on the sets of Ramayan

Sunita Rajwar who essays the role of Manthra in Zee TV’s recently launched epic show Ramayan, produced by Moti Sagar Productions has a new job in hand on the sets of her show. She presently assists the Directors on the show, Pawan Parkhi and Mukesh Jha as the Assistant Director. Isn’t this an interesting piece of news? Well, we caught on to Sunita to get to know more about her hidden talent. “I was acting in Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon when I met Director Chandan Arora who was working with Ram Gopal Verma. I got a liking for direction then, and decided to assist him on his next project. So when he started the movie Meri Patni Aur Who, he asked me to assist him. Later, Striker happened with him where I researched for five years. Also, when I was shooting for Deepti Bhatnagar’s Shaadi Street, I have assisted Rajan Shahi who was the director then.” And this passion continues on the sets of Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai too. “I have always helped the production guys of Yeh Rishta… with decorations during their festive shoots.” Sunita who is a product of the National School of Drama credits the exposure she has got there for the awareness she has. “When you are in NSD, you are taught to do everything, from make-up to camera work to lighting. Hence, it has become a part of me. Whenever I have free time, I start to work with the production team as I can hardly sit idle. In Ramayan, I have ample time in between my shoot and since we are placed in Baroda and are away from home, I have taken up the task of assisting my directors.” Sunita, we are proud to have a talent like you around us!!
