12/12/12 was an auspicious and a historical date and many across the globe wanted to be associated with the date. People expecting their children to be born around the same time, hoped that they would be born on 12/12/12.
But, TV actor Mehul Kajaria, of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi fame, did not plan to be a father on the same day. His wife, software engineer Amrita Roy Kajaria, was expecting on 18 December 2012, but she delivered a beautiful baby girl on 12/12/12. “Our little princess decided to drop in early,” exclaims the artiste.

This performer who is waiting for his big ticket Star Plus show Saraswatichandra to hit the airwaves sometime next month, says, “Good things in my personal life have always been followed by my success on the professional front as well. Five years ago when I got married, I quickly landed my first negative lead show, Babul Ka Angan Choote Na ( Sony TV) which was a landmark in my career. And now, the arrival of my daughter has again preceded my return to the small screen with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next venture on small screen after a hiatus of two years.”
Yesterday (14 December 2012), Mehul got his daughter home from the hospital and is very thrilled about it, as he goes on to say, “Fatherhood is a great feeling, and for me it is more important than any professional success.”
Just before ending his conversation with us, Mehul adds that he does not support planned deliveries. “You should let mother nature take its own course, for each child brings his or her own destiny that might be linked to the date of birth,” he quips.
