MUMBAI: Handsome actor Mohit Malik has been working in the industry since 2005 and has seen ups and downs. He currently has the audience head over heels in love with his character Sikandar and his chemistry with Aakriti Sharma aka Kullfi in Star Plus’ show Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala.

The show has gained immense popularity right from it launch. It revolves around the story young singing prodigy Kullfi, who encounters several hardships to unite with her father, Sikandar. It has already won several awards.

Lately, there have been a lot of rumors floating around that Mohit will no more be seen on the show. While media reports state that producer Gul Khan has denied the news, Mohit in an interaction with journalists revealed how such rumours take a toll on actors.

He stated that as actors, they struggle hard to achieve their dreams and that there are times when they get replaced. He also mentioned that his wife Addite and he had bought a house on loan and that due to a lack of work, they had to sell off jewelry.

In addition, he stressed on the importance of having an alternate career. He maintained that there are some people from the industry who work on TV but still look down upon it as a medium.
