In a recent interview, Munawar opened up about some lesser-known moments from his early post-reality TV journey. He revealed that he had auditioned for roles in Phone Bhoot, starring Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt’s Darlings. The roles, however, left much to be desired. “One was of a dead man with barely a minute of screen time,” he said. “In the other, I was sitting in a pharmacy asking for medicine.” Though he went through with the auditions, he admitted to not following up, letting the casting teams decide.
In hindsight, Munawar says he’s relieved those roles didn’t materialise. While he has never outright rejected work, he believes in choosing projects that align with his aspirations and image.
Today, with a devoted fanbase and multiple offers at his feet, Munawar Faruqui is no longer just a reality TV star; he's a formidable force in the entertainment industry, choosing his path with intention and pride.
