MUMBAI: Since the news of Munawar Faruqui's second marriage surfaced he has uploaded the first post on his Instagram account. The Bigg Boss 17 winner reportedly married Mumbai-based artist Mehzabeen Coatwala in a private ceremony for a second time on Monday, shocking everyone with the news.
Munawar posted a video on his Instagram account late on Monday night, promoting one of his upcoming comedy shows in Dubai. "See you, Dubai," he wrote beside a video of himself performing onstage. The stand-up comedian added the song "Mainu Vida Karo" as the background music for his video.
An insider confirmed Munawar Faruqui’s second wedding and told the popular news portal, “Yes, Munawar is now married. Usne shaadi kar li hai. Woh yeh sab under wraps rakhna chahta hai tabhi koi khass pictures bhi nahi milega apko. (He got married. He wants to keep it under wraps; hence, you would not find any pictures of the two).”
The source added that their wedding was a “close-knit function” attended by the two’s family members and close friends. Reportedly, Hina Khan also attended Munawar’s second wedding.
It is said that Munawar is now married to Mumbai-based makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwala. Mehzabeen belongs to the Memon community and resides in South Mumbai's Agripada neighborhood, according to the popular news portal.
It should be mentioned that Munawar Faruqui has yet to respond to questions about his second marriage. Not only that, but Jigna Vora, who competed with Munawar on Bigg Boss 17, said that she was unaware of the comedian's wedding when questioned about it.
“I personally have no idea about Munawar getting married. I am also hearing from the media. If he has gotten married, I am very happy for him. Everyone has the right to be happy in life. God bless the newlywed couple,” she said.
