MUMBAI: People usually fall in love with a character played by their favourite star on-screen but very few actors leave their imprints in the reel characters that they play and make it stand out of the crowd. And here's actor Gashmeer Mahajani who's known for his nuanced performances on-screen talks about how he leaves bits and pieces of his personality in every character that he plays on-screen.
Gashmeer says, "I feel that every performance of yours should have an element of your personality. Then I feel it becomes unique and real. If you lend even a little bit of your personality to that character, it becomes more relatable. If you don't add an element of your personality then it becomes fake. It will seem as if you are faking it and it will not touch the hearts of people. The biggest compliment I have got till date also is "we can't imagine someone else in the place of Aditya Kumar Tripathi."

Furthermore, he revealed why he wanted to be a part of the Hindi industry as he was doing well in the regional industry. He says, "And the reason why I wanted to work in both the mediums is because we Maharashtrians have a very strong accent while speaking because for example if you hear my wife or my mother speaking in English then you can easily make out that they aren't Marathi speaking people. So I started reading books by Premchand and Manto in order to get my accent right."
On the professional front, Gashmeer will be soon be seen in a Marathi film Hambirrao Sarsenapati. He is currently seen as Aditya Tripathi in the hit show 'Imlie'.
