MUMBAI: The Coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on everyone. It has claimed many lives.
Laxman Sharma, 45, who was Mauka-E-Vardaat's assistant art director, also succumbed to COVID-19 a few days ago.
According to the reports, the producers of the show have now paid a compensation of Rs 11 lakh to his family. Speaking about it, Ashok Dubey, the general secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees said to Times Of India, "Laxman Sharma was an assistant art director who after returning from the shooting of the serial Mauka-E-Vardaat in Delhi tested positive for Covid 19. He was admitted to Seven Hills Hospital and unfortunately did not survive."

"We held a joint meeting with the producer of the show who agreed to pay Rs11 lakh to his wife. Laxman has two young daughters,” Ashok Dubey added. Laxman Sharma did not have any COVID insurance and stating about it, Ashok Dubey said, "Unfortunately, he didn't have any Covid insurance and had only shot for a week for the show." Sharing more information about the death, the deceased's friend Chetan said, "He had developed a fever in Delhi. We were shooting there and he was okay after that. When he returned to Mumbai a few days back, he tested positive and contracted a severe attack of Covid. It is very sad that he is no more."
