MUMBAI: The glamour of the industry sees people aspiring to become stars. While some succeed, a lot fade away without getting noticed. However, there are individuals who get the spotlight on them in showbiz but voluntarily quit to pursue some other field.

Twinkle Khanna: Akshay Kumar's wife is the daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. However, she never did make much of a mark in Bollywood. Despite working in a couple of films like Badshaah, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan and Mela, her career never took off and she quit to become an author - a role that gave her a lot of fame.
Sofia Hayat: The actress rose to fame after her appearance in a popular reality show which aired in 2013. However, after three years, she quite the glamour world to become a nun.
Mayoori Kango: The actress starred in popular movies including Papa Kehte Hain, Betaabi, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Badal, and Papa the Great but decided to quit the world of glamour. She married NRI Aditya Dhillon in December 2001 and shifted to the US, pursuing an MBA in marketing and finance. Currently, she has joined Google India as its Industry Head.
Jhanak Shukla: She quit the world of TV and films while she was still in school. She went on to focus on education and also started a soap business during coronavirus lockdown.
Dino Morea: The former model is returning to the screens with Empire, but has mostly quit Bollywood after a series of flops. He now owns and runs restaurants across Mumbai.
Kumar Gaurav: Rajendra Kumar's son debuted with Love Story in 1981 and went on to feature in a string of blockbusters. He has not been active in movies in a long time. He is married to Namrata Dutt and currently owns a travel business in the Maldives.
