MUMBAI: Indian Idol is one of the most popular television reality shows. It gives a platform to the aspiring singers who want to make a career in the music world.
Currently, season 12 of the show is on air and it enjoys a huge fan following. It has been making headlines everyday for multiple reasons. The contestants including Pawandeep Rajan, Sawai Bhatt, Shanmukhpriya among others have been winning hearts of the judges and viewers with their rocking performances. However, there are a few contestants who were highly criticized for their recent performances. Disappointed by their act, many demanded the makers of the show to eliminate these contestants. One of the contestants in question is Shanmukhapriya.
Known for her exceptional operatic and yodelling skills, Shanmukhapriya has been receiving a lot of hate on social media lately. In one of the latest episodes, a section of social media users slammed her rendition of Shravan Rathod's Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai, and demanded her eviction. And now, in an interview with Yo! Vizag, Shanmukha responded to the criticism. She said, 'I came to know about the happenings only after a few of my well-wishers reached out to me. I tried to take the trolls with a pinch of salt.' She further added that even the greatest of the artists in the likes of Michael Jackson had to endure criticism. Shanmukha added that she loved singing and performing. 'Going ahead, I will put in the best of my efforts to showcase my skills in the forthcoming rounds,' said Shanmukha.
