MUMBAI: Nihal Tauro, who has reached the Top 7 of the show currently got a chance to visit his hometown and his happiness knew no bounds. The singer had an amazing time visiting his home and meeting his friends and family. Nihal on visiting his hometown and recording a song for Himesh Reshammiya. He also opened up about his much-talked-about bond with co-contestant Sayli Kamble on the show.

"I am very happy because we are getting showered with so much love. I just went to my hometown and I had never imagined that I would be loved by so many people. I visited my hometown after a long gap, after 6-7 months, the experience was incredible. I got a celebrity feeling after visiting my hometown. So many people came to meet me and click pictures with me. The best part about this season is that the audience doesn’t love just one contestant, they like everyone," quotes Nihal.

Expressing about what he has learnt on the show and his journey on Indian Idol 12, Nihal mentions, "I feel if you are excellent in just one genre, you cannot excel in this field. One of the main reasons to come in Indian Idol 12 was that I wanted to sing all types and genres of songs. Whether it was a fast number, romantic songs or falsetto range, I wanted to sing everything. We get to learn everything here on Indian Idol 12. We get to learn from each other because we are together on the show. If I want to sing in the falsetto range, I can learn it from Shanmukhpriya, if I have to sing from the heart I can take inspiration from Pawandeep, so we get to learn different factors from different contestants. This was the main reason for me to come here and I have been successful."

Nihal's most memorable memory on Indian Idol 12 has been bagging a song from Himesh Reshammiya and recording for it, "During the audition round when Himesh sir had offered me a song that will always be my favourite and memorable moment. I will always cherish it. He offered me a song and then I later even recorded it and it will be released soon. It is very important for me because it will be my debut. It is such a beautiful composition and we know that his songs are very touchy and catchy. We recorded the song in his studio, I’ve recorded many songs in the studio and I’ve been doing it since I was in my third grade. I would sing for albums and I feel the best composition that I’ve sung till date is Himesh Reshammiya sir’s song," he expressed.

The young singer wishes to sing for Bollywood Khans someday and reveals that Arijit Singh is his favourite singer, "I would like to do playback singing for Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan someday. I just love them and it is my dream and goal is to sing for them. I am Arijit Singh's huge fan and I just love him. I am his huge fan. I feel he can sing anything on this earth," he said.

Nihal also spoke about the bond with Sayali Kamble and made it clear that there is no romantic angle between them and in fact she is his 'bhai', "We call Sayali Bhai and she considers me as her younger brother. We love each other a lot and she is not my sister but a big brother (laughs). There is no romantic angle between us and I know our bonding can give this impression that there’s something going on but trust me there’s no truth to this romantic angle story. Our bonding is great as we like spending time with each other by rehearsing or playing UNO. Sayali and I sing and rehearse a lot together. We even give inputs to each other and better each other," ended Nihal.
