Monica Khanna, the stylish young girl plays the extremely smart character of Shraddha in Colors’ popular show, Thapki Pyar Ki.
The actress who is known for her vampish roles on television feels that the role of Shraddha is very special to her, as it has so much scope to perform.
Says Monica, “I simply love the negative roles that I get to play. My sharp features and appearance put me as a front runner for negative roles. However, I have played few positive roles too in shows like Housewife Sab Jaanti Hai. The thing that I have noticed is that I am stuck to my boundaries when I play a positive character. But when I play negative, I can go to any extent by improvising and experimenting, as there is no fixed boundary to being wicked.”
Talking about her role in Thapki, the actress explains, “Shraddha is something like a split personality. She appears to be so sweet and good at times, and can go to any extent to show her cunningness. I am enjoying playing this character.”
On the beautiful rapport that she has made with the cast and crew of Thapki, Monica shared, “I received a warm welcome when I got on board the show. All the actors are so sweet and friendly, that I get along well with one and all. It’s like an extended family, where we work hard as well as enjoy.”
Ask her about her best role so far in her career, and she quickly states, “My best has to be Pyaar Ka Dard Hai… Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. My character had everything in it starting from positive, grey to negative shade. However my journey in Thapki has just begun, and I have a beautiful character graph. So I am looking forward to bigger success on the show.”
