Nausheen Alii Sardar who is currently doing two films Marathon opposite Bikram Saluja and a songless flick Vassh opposite Lucky Ali, is all set to feature in a music video.
The actor has shot for a song sung by Alisha Chinai for the animated film, Krishna. The video has been directed by Aman Khan and produced by Amit Chedda.
“It was a three day shoot. I have done music videos in the past also. Mukul Dev has also shot for the same music video with me”, says Nausheen. Interestingly, actor Anuj Saxena was also considered for the video, but things didn't fall into place in the end, so Mukul was roped in.
The lady is open to television offers. “I definitely want to do television. It's just a matter of time and the right script,” points out Nausheen.
She has recently anchored an event, Sur - An Evening to Remember to be aired on Star Plus. Sur...is a tribute to Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Ali Khan on his 75th birthday. His students, include singers like Sonu Nigam, Hariharan, Sadhna Sargam, Shaan, Madhushree and A. R. Rehman.
“The three day event will be capsuled in one episode. I had started my career with anchoring for ETC and had even hosted the Star Parivaar Awards earlier. Moreover, singing has been a childhood passion. My father is fond of singing, so somewhere I must have picked it up. I am learning classical music for one and a half years now from Ustad Sajjad Hussain, whose grandfather taught Lata Mangeshkar," says Nausheen.
Nausheen’s favourite singers include Abida Parveen, Kishori Amonkar and Asha Bhonsle.
Few know that Nausheen began her acting career as an anchor with Chit Chat on ETC channel, and this was prior to her Kkusum days. She was later seen as co-host with Karan Oberoi (Raghav of Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin) in Hain Na Bolo Bolo. This music-based Sunday morning show aired on Star Plus in 2003. Ravi Behl (Boogie Woogie, Kaboom) later replaced Oberoi as anchor of the show.
