Nawab Shah set to return in Zee TV's Amma

Actor Nawab Shah, who has worked in both television and films, is set to return to the TV series Ek Maa Jo Bani Lakho Ke Liye Amma produced by Farhn P. Zamma and Asif Sheikh. He will reprise his role as the gangster Haider Kazi. When contacted, Nawab confirmed the development, "I really missed shooting for Amma because we had a blast on set. I am playing the character called Haider Kazi, who is a dreaded son from the '60s."

However, what Nawab is most excited about is working with Shabana Azmi. He said, "My shoot is starting with Shabana ji this week. I've never met her, though Farhan and Zoya are my old friends. I have immense respect for her body of work, and I look forward to shooting with her, as we have a lot of scenes together. I am going to treat this opportunity as a learning experience."

Nawab also said he is happy shooting for a finite series and would love to do more shows like Amma. He said, "I am glad shows like Amma is getting appreciated, and I'm completely in for such short series. It's shot just like a film and we are not bound or stuck to on the same set for years!"

We hope Nawab has a great time, and that we see him more such interesting shows this year.
