MUMBAI: An important Hindu holiday honouring Lord Shiva is Maha Shivratri. Millions of people around the world celebrate it with great fervour. In Shemaroo Umang's "Main Dil Tum Dhadkan," actress Neelu Vaghela, who portrays Rajeshwari Devi, discusses her intentions for Maha Shivratri.
"I am a spiritual person and see God's presence in everything, big or small," she says with a smile. For me, Maha Shivratri is a truly unique celebration. 'Mahakal', which meaning the One beyond time and centuries, is my favourite of Lord Shiva's many names. Maha Shivratri is incredibly important because it serves as a reminder that everything is predetermined by Him. He is the best. I'm going to get up early on this Maha Shivratri and start my day with puja at home. After that, I'm going to the Shiva temple, where the serene and heavenly ambiance makes me happy.
She went on, "My entire day is bright and blissful because of the positive energy that the temple's morning vibes bring to my soul." An atmosphere of unadulterated devotion is produced by the chants of "Om Namah Shivaya," the aroma of flowers and incense, and the sight of devotees in prayer. On this holy day, may Lord Shiva grant everyone courage, serenity, and joy.
