MUMBAI: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah continues to entertain the audiences even after a decade of its telecast. The show has secured the number one spot in the TRP list for the third week consecutively.
The show's former actress Nidhi Bhanushali did an interview recently and spoke about replacing Jheel Mehta from the show. In an interview with Hindi Rush, Nidhi was asked about replacing Jheel Mehta as Sonu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and the actress stated that it was indeed difficult for her.

In the interview, Nidhi said that it was difficult initially to play Sonu as the cast was habituated to shooting with the previous actress (Jheel Mehta). However, with time, it got better.
She said, "It was difficult in the beginning because unlog ko bhi aadat thi kisi aur ke saath shoot karne ki aur I was the only girl among the four boys, which was not a problem for me because I always had male friends around me in real life too. Initially, I took some time to fit in, but then I think I really cracked it. We're still great friends."
After Nidhi Bhanushali left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Palak Sindhwani was roped in for the role. Recently, Sindhwani quit the show and currently, Khushi Mali is playing Sonu Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
