Actor Nivaan Sen has welcomed the New Year with gusto, and believes that it will be fruitful for him in all ways.

Last seen playing a kidnapper in Star Plus’ Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Nivaan is now looking to break the ‘bad’ boy image with a meaty character. He will instead like to play a lover boy. And his efforts to get better roles have already kick-started with him trying out a different look now.

Nivaan who began his career with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii had a spiritual start to the New Year.

Talking about it, the actor says, “I don’t believe in partying hard or boozing to welcome the New Year. My idea is to spend quality time either with myself or with my family. Also, I always make it to the temple to start my year by seeking blessings of the God. This is exactly what I did this year too.”

Before taking up his next project, Nivaan though will take time out to be with his close friend Himmanshoo Malhotra during his wedding.

Says Nivaan, “Himmanshoo and I go a long way, as we were together in India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj. This will be the second wedding in our friends group from Cinestars after Mohit Dagga’s. We have planned quite a lot of things for Himmanshoo’s marriage. First of all, I am very happy that he is getting married to Amruta Khanvilkar after dating her for 10 years. Amruta is also from the same talent show, and this will be a moment to rejoice to see two close friends taking nuptial vows. Himmanshoo’s wedding will be a star-studded affair with lot of celebrities expected. So January 24 is going to be a ‘festival’ for all of us in Delhi.”
