MUMBAI : Pallavi Rao is a popular actress who has been seen in an array of shows in the likes of Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak, Nima Denzongpa, Pandya Store and Punar Vivaah: Zindagi Milegi Dobara among other TV projects.
Being in the field of acting comes with its own pros and cons. Along with fame and luxuries, artists are also targeted by fake casting agents and stalkers.
In an exclusive interview with Pallavi, she shed light on the issues she has to deal with being an actress and all the good and bad things which come along with stardom.
She said, “I feel that social media is a platform where you apprise people of what your choices are and what you do in your life. As an actor, it becomes your responsibility to be careful and aware of what all you are putting out because there are a lot of people out there who are following you and they want to talk like you, act like you or probably dress like you. So as a celebrity your responsibility increases a tad bit more of what you are portraying.
Social media is a very good platform to make people aware of who one can be positive in life and make the right decisions. For me, that is the use of social media.”
Talking about playing an antagonist on television, Pallavi shared, “I have played negative characters and I have received a lot of hate comments for it too and that is not only on-screen but in real life too.”
