Perfect Pati to replace Mitegi Laxman Rekha

Mitegi Laxman Rekha

MUMBAI: TellyChakkar was the first to report about &TV’s Mitegi Laxman Rekha going off-air. Within two months of launch, the channel decided to pull the plug on it owing to poor ratings. The last episode will air on 31 August.

As per latest developments, upcoming TV show Perfect Pati will replace the Shashi-Sumeet Productions’ daily. According to our sources, the show is expected to air on 3 September in Mitegi's time slot.

The Filmfarm Productions’ venture will see Bollywood biggie Jaya Pradha in a prominent role.

TellyChakkar was also the first to report that Ayush Anand and Sayali Sanjeev will essay protagonists Pushkar and Vidhita respectively.

As per the plot, Vidhita, an orphan, is one of the most educated girls in her village. While she believes in ‘simple living and high thinking’, the Rathods lead an illustrious lifestyle. The story showcases show Vidhita takes it upon herself to make Pushkar’s mother understand that her love for her son is blinded by his manipulative moves.

A source informs us, 'The camaraderie between Vidhita and her mother-in-law forms the crux of the story as opposed to the pre-conceived notions of a mother-in-law always being the most unaccommodating relation in a bride’s life.'
