Playtime Creationns’ Ruk Jaana Nahi on Star Plus has managed to grab viewer’s attention via its strong storyline and brilliant performances. The show is really ruling the roost at the 6.30 pm slot. However, since the time the soap went on air, rumour mils have been spreading the word around that its plot is similar to that of Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, which is aired on the same channel.

The string of resemblance lies in the fact that in both the shows the story revolves around a girl who fights against injustice and both shows have a backdrop based in a small town in Uttar Pradesh.
However, the lead of Ruk Jaana… Pooja Sharma (Sanchi) rubbishes all claims as mere hogwash, “I have often heard people comparing Ruk Jaana… with Pratigya, but I don’t find any similarity at all. In fact, if you observe both the shows closely, you will find many differences. In our story, Sanchi (Pooja Sharma) is more composed, calm and keenly watches her moves before taking any action, whereas Pratigya (Pooja Gor) believes in preaching more than actually making a move.”
Fair enough. But aren’t both the characters having a similar framework wherein they fight against injustice?
“I agree that Pratigya and Sanchi are strong individuals and they voice against injustice but their mode of working is different. For example, Pratigya believes in her values and she will never go against them, but Sanchi, in order to get justice, will never mind in manipulating things.”
Well, Pooja we hope the audience also witnesses the difference and continues watching Ruk Jaana Nahi…
