Pracheen Chauhan, who was last seen essaying the role of Kanha in Zee TV’s Choti Bahu, feels that television has changed quite a lot in the last four to five years.
Says Pracheen, “There are a lot of actors who are commanding their price even now, but the fact is that the scenario of television has changed today. I do believe that all narrows down to the individual’s own personal destiny. But I have been extremely choosy about my work. The best part is that I have not over exposed myself. But I will be frank enough to tell that things have not worked in my favour for the last two years. I have got quite a lot of offers, and in fact got to the extent of signing few plump roles, but that was not to be. Every actor has a low phase in his career and I am facing that right now. But I take courage when I get to understand that a star of the caliber of Amitabh Bachchan too has gone through bankruptcy and joblessness. Having said this, God has been kind to me as I have sustained in this industry for 10-12 years now. Even today, I get offered main lead roles and that is a positive sign. I am lucky to have great parents, brothers, great friends and a good career. I understand that I have to be patient and positive and keep myself busy especially when things are not falling in place.”
Pracheen tells us that he is presently busy working on the interiors of his new flat. “I finally shifted to my new flat one and half months back. I am now planning the interiors and my friend who is an interior designer is helping me in it. I am doing it for the first time and it is fun to decide how your bedroom should look like. And to have a flat in Malad with a sea-facing view is something that I have always dreamt about.”
On his personal life and recent break-up with actress Archana Taide, Pracheen speaks up, “It has been more than a year since Archana and I broke up. I have had a few serious relationships in my life and it is sad when things do not work out. I believe that there is someone who is meant for me, and I hope and pray that I meet her soon. As for my past, I have nothing against anyone; it is just that those relationships were not meant to be. I know that Archana is getting married soon. I wish her all the happiness, peace and success in life.”
He goes on, “As for me, I believe that my new house will bring me all the good luck. I believe this is the beginning of a new phase in my life.”
Pracheen, life is all about ups and downs, and as you say, only the patient and positive person wins the battle!! Three cheers to your perseverance.
