Praneeta Sahu
Praneeta Sahu best remembered as Surbhi of Colors’ Uttaran (FilmFarm India) has shifted her focus from acting to production. Yes, the actress has turned an entrepreneur. Her company is named Parikatha Entertainment. The actress produces corporate films, ads, VFX 3D animation films and also handles celebrity clients under the banner. The company came into existence six months back, and is doing extremely well. However, the acting bug inside the actor has still not gone as she says, “I miss being a part of Uttaran, but I am also enjoying this part of the job.” She further goes on to add, “I get to meet new people every day and also work on different projects every week. We have photo shoots going on at times, while we also work on a company’s 3D VFX project. So there is something new all the time. I have basically learnt a lot in the past few months about the industry apart from just acting.” The artist who is a BBA qualified feels business is in her genes. “I belong to a business family and it is in my blood. I have never been a typical actor. In fact, while I was shooting for my Doordarshan show Sammaan Ek Adhikaar I did other things apart from acting. I was also a creative on that show. People often asked me why I was also creatively directing the show, but then that’s what gave me an insight to things behind the lens.” The businesswoman Praneeta’s daily schedule runs this way: • I wake-up at 8 am • Gym and pray • 11:30 I am off to work • 12:00 pm I am at work or attending meetings. • I am back home by 6 or 7 pm. • Then I try and catch up with friends. Does this businesswoman have any plans of getting back to acting? “I would be more than happy to get back, provided I get some good offers. At the moment we are also working on a few TV show pilots.” Keep up the good work lady!
