Prerna Wanvari aka Raveena of Parichay on a high

Prerna Wanvari, better known as Raveena of Parichay on Colors has been very happy of late. And the reason for her happiness is her being nominated for the Gold Awards. The actress currently features in the list of top ten actors. However, as per the norms, she will reach the final nomination only after she secures good number of votes on the Gold Awards website. Prerna joined the television industry in February 2009 and since then, she has done a couple of shows including Bidaai, Bairi Piya and Bandini. When we asked her if she feels that she has got recognition too late, she answered, “I wouldn’t say it’s late as things must happen at the right time. I think all the hard work that I put in the last two years of my television career has shown up this year. As today when I look at myself on TV, I know I am giving a good performance. In comparison, when I used to look at myself earlier I knew I was an average actress and did not deserve an award. But things have changed.” Ask her what if she will bag the award and she answers with a smile, “If I bag the award I will work harder. I am already working very hard but in future I will set new challenges for myself and achieve them.” The actress is hopeful to participate in this season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and she has already started practicing for it. “Last year Jhalak had a special episode in which they invited one TV actor to participate with the jodis and I am sure they will have something like this even this season. I have been working for it. Especially on splits and kicks as not all actors can do a split but I can as I have done that in the past being a Terence (Lewis) disciple.” Currently Prerna is seen in the Secret Temptation advertisement that has become popular on the tube. We wish Prerna luck with both the award and the reality show.
