Raju Shrivatsva fans can heave a huge sign for relief. At least for the time being. A civil court in Dindoshi has squashed the complainant TV Vision’s demand to remove the comedian out of Bigg Boss house.
“What titled the scales in Mr.Shrivastava’s favour is the ‘personal service’ contract. As per this agreement, the final right lies with the artist whether or not he wants to commit. Besides, Raju was well within his rights to participate in any show which didn’t compete with TV Vision. He had this clause in his agreement with TV Vision. TV Vision though can claim damages from Shrivastava but no way can they demand his ouster from Bigg Boss,” said an official from Naik Naik Iyer & co, which is defending Shrivastava.
Markhand Adhikari’s TV Vision though has not given in yet. “The ‘personal service’ nature of contract has worked in Shrivastava’s favour. However, we now plan to take this matter to the high court. We’ll be doing that on Monday,” said Swati Agarwal of Khaitan & Jaykar DT Gandhi, TV Vision’s legal representatives.
Round 1 goes to Raju but let’s see who has the last laugh.
