MUMBAI: During this lockdown period, many classic shows have returned to the small screen and Ramayan is one of them.
After the announcement of the rerun of Ramayan on Doordarshan, people were elated. In fact, the show is on the top of the TRP chart which is then followed by Mahabharat. Not just the older generation, even the younger generation, people all over are interested and seemed to be liking this mythological show. The results are clearly seen on social media platforms. From making funny memes to making a particular scene related to the lockdown, everything about the show is going viral for all the right reasons.
Speaking of which, Dipika Chikhlia who played Sita in Ramayan recently shared an epic throwback picture of the entire cast and crew of the epic saga on her Instagram handle which has rightfully taken over the internet. The throwback picture has her co-stars Arun Govil who played her on-screen husband and Lord Ram and Sunil Lahri who played Ram’s brother Lakshman along with the all other side actors and cast and the crew.
While sharing the picture, she wrote down a sweet note recalling her old days and mourning the death of the members who are no more while also offering them her condolences as her caption read, “The Epic pic of the entire team of Ramayan cast and crew, Sagar Saab with his son and below them are the direction team and camera team ...barring Ravan almost all Were there ..... Ramayan #memorries #camera #nostalgic #1980 #shivsagar #premsagar #ramanandsagar. Only when we look back do we know what all we have left behind ....so many of the cast no more ...RIP to them all”
