MUMBAI: Popular sitcom of 90's Tu Tu Main starring late Reema Lagoo and Supriya Pilgaonkar is being remade? Well, latest report suggests the same. Report has it that the show which is still fresh in the minds of the audience even after two decades will mark a comeback on TV screen but with a new cast. The show which originally aired on DD Metro in 1994 and later on Star Plus, will air on Star Bharat this time.

The show which was produced by Nirja Guleri and directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar became immensely popular among the viewers due to its relatable plot. The show which had a fun take on the arguments between mother-in-law (Reema Lagoo) and daughter-in-law (Supriya Pilgaonkar) was loved by the audience. A sequel of the series 'Kadvee Khattee Meethi' with same theme and extended cast was also aired on Star One which is now Star Bharat was also directed by Sachin later. But this time the show itself will revive with new faces.
A source informs SpotboyE.com, "Star Bharat is revamping his shows completely and will be coming up with some new shows focusing majorly on comedy genre. And the popular sitcom which has created a benchmark 'Tu Tu Main Main' they are planning to bring back. Things are yet to get finalised and discussions are at the initial stage.”
