Bubbly and beautiful Asha Negi is co hosting, along with Hussain Kuwajerwala, the current ongoing season of Indian Idol Junior (Sony TV).
Talking about her experience as she turns a host, Asha states, “Of course I am nervous but more than that I am really excited. This is a very interesting opportunity for me and I am more than happy to gear up for my stint as a host.”
Asha maintains that she would be herself while hosting, “As an anchor you are the connection between the contestants, judges and the audience. This is the reason I really want to stick to myself and be as real as I can be. Personally, I am a bubbly, happy go lucky person with a good sense of humour and onscreen too you will get to see all of these in my personality.”
When asked how many tips did beau Rithvik Dhanjani share with her, Asha said, “He gave me a lot of tips. Since Rithvik made a few mistakes while starting out, he doesn’t want me to repeat those and hence tells me to be natural and real on camera. One cannot go about pretending for too long. It is a relief to have him as my guiding light.” (smiles).
Having just participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi with Hussain Kuwajerwala, the actress is really happy to have him as her co-host, as she quipped, “We bonded really well during our previous reality show and that has helped us form a great chemistry. I think Hussain is a great guy with so much patience. I am getting to really learn by just observing him.”
When we asked her about her 'fan moment’ with the kids, the girl said, “These children are really in awe of my tasks that I did in Khatron and they keep on asking if the animals were real, or how I managed to do a height stunt. They are all curious about it and I enjoy their enthusiasm.”
And finally speaking about her comeback to fiction shows, “I have been reading a few scripts but I don’t want to rush into things. I am waiting for a great show and powerful character that can match up to the viewer’s expectations and my creative longings. But definitely my fans will see me soon.”
Wish you luck, Asha!
