Romanch Mehta celebrates birthday with his family
After a gap of 12 years, Romanch Mehta, last seen as Manek in Sony Entertainment Television’s Chhanchhan, celebrated his birthday with his family yesterday (15 September 2013). The actor tells us, “After Chhanchhan went off-air on 13 September (2013), I decided to take a small break from work and get back home. The thought of going back home also came in as I hadn’t celebrated my birthday with my family since the last 12 years. Therefore I got here at Halwadi (his home town near Nainital).” This birthday definitely turned out to be one of the most memorable so far for the artiste, but it came at an emotional time with Chhanchhan just going off-air. “Not just me, but my entire team had an emotional connect with the show. Naturally, I felt bad when it went off-air. It’s very difficult to find a team that bonded so beautifully; I will miss them all,” observed the actor. Does this mean that Romanch will stay in touch with his co-stars of the show? “Yes, I will definitely stay in touch as I believe in making healthy relationships. In fact, recently when we (girlfriend Sangeeta Kapure and him) had to immerse our Ganpati, we did not go alone; we made it a point to go along with our friends Gurmeet (Choudhary) - Debina (Bonerjee), Saurabh Pandey and Moonmoon Dutta who all had got idols of Ganpati in their respective houses.” Furthermore, Romanch also celebrated his birthday on the sets of his show Chhanchhan on the last day of the shoot. Well, Romanch, we at Tellychakkar.com wish you a belated happy birthday.
